Retrofuturistic Curiosities

Presented during summer 2019 at Transfert in Rezé (France - 44), the Retro-futuristic cabinet of curiosities includes around ten interactive installations visible through the windows of an English-style bus.

"In 2019, the Yellow Bus passed through a space-time door to land in Transfert. In this future from another dimension, post-techno-capitalist futurotopias have radically transformed our relationship to manufactured objects and particularly to what we calls 'digital'

The extractivist, competitive and inegalitarian logic of the 21st century has been abandoned in favor of a relationship with other organic and inorganic beings on the planet based on symbiosis, understanding and inter-species empathy. Thus, we no longer find manufactured devices there. Everyday needs and interactions with others go through mineralo-telepatho-biological processes resulting from a reciprocal understanding between minerals, bacteria, mycelia, plants, insects and animals (including humans).

For the memory of humanity, the Yellow Bus mischievously retraces, in the form of a cabinet of curiosities, this history of our interactions with vanished technologies."
