Description

Irbick est un kaléidoscope numérique permettant d'utiliser une source vidéo en temps réel et de traduire le rendu graphique en texture sonore. Au delà d'une reproduction informatique des phénomènes optiques mis en jeu dans un kaléidoscope, l'utilisation de traitements vidéos simples comme des retardements ou des "feedback" permet d'obtenir des animations graphiques étonnantes, tantôt organiques, fractales ou chaotiques - ou tout à la fois - , qui participent à la diversité des textures audio obtenues.

Irbick is a digital kaleidoscope that can use a video as source and translate the graphic into sound textures. Beyond a computer reproduction of the optical phenomena involved in a kaleidoscope, the use of simple video processing such as delays or "feedback" makes it possible to obtain astonishing graphic animations, sometimes organic, fractal or chaotic - or all at the same time -, which contribute to the diversity of the audio textures obtained.
